When you get tired of throwing punches and are being hit in all parts of the body by loaded gloves, it makes it a lot harder to defend yourself.
The Margo fight showed a lot of weaknesses of Cotto’s defence. His chin was always open for uppercuts. Listen, if a slow Margo can land a lot of uppercuts, how much more from a fast Pacman. And if Pacman can reach a much taller ODLH, what more a similar height and reach in Cotto. We’re gonna see a lot of uppercuts and left straights to chin for this fight. Remember that!

Cotto is easy to hit. How did Margarito hit him so easy. How was someone THAT slow & predictable able to hit Cotto THAT many times!
Pac can “pot-shot” a few rounds, but as soon as Cotto starts to slow down at all, he can start sitting down on power shots & they WILL land. Cotto is too stationary, too easy to hit, & too “past it” mentally to win this fight.

Cotto is stronger, but Pac hits harder. There’s a difference. Pac and Roach know how to avoid the left hook and Cotto’s right hand is too slow and weak to hurt Pac. If Cotto runs he loses a UD, if he goes at Pac he gets KTFO.
clottey is a very strong very good boxer, just very underrated. If pac fought cotto before the clottey fight I would say he would win based on the lack of confidence of cotto. but I think the pac wagoneers is going to be shocked not I.
You think Cotto is marquez, or Hatton, or even a walking dead delahoya. Manny has not fought a guy like Cotto. A bigger, better skilled boxer, heavy handed boxer.

i agree that Tyson would generate more money than Manny, but i think Roach is referring to how the Filipino’s support Manny. If you’ve been to the philippines it’s just unbelievable how they support Manny. The American people didn’t support Tyson the way Filipino people are supporting Pacquiao.
