This massacre is significant because of the sheer savagery of the act. A pregnant woman was one of the victims, the women were raped, everyone including the media people and the lawyers were killed. Some reports indicate that further mutilations were done to the victims. WTF! They killed everyone, and it sends a clear message: we can do whatever we want, and don’t give a shit who and how many we killed. The perpetrators are clearly psychopaths and should be shot immediately upon capture.

Nobody is above the law, but in some part of southern Philippines everybody seems to be above the law in their entire life. Peace is elusive especially during election time.

Both this clans are Warlords, so better guard them cuz they will find means to countr attack the killings, and Maguindanao shud be put under Martial law and take over the government and send both clans to exile to avoid another incident! The Arroyo Gov’t should put this case to an end or else…

these men are higly dangerous, they are equipt with high powered fire arms designed to kill someone who will atempt to block their roads, they are higly trained, usually they are ordinary persons but if the election is pass approaching they turnout into an elite force,a killing machine waiting for someone to push down their controls. these guys are barbaric they will kill according to their satisfaction.

I am outraged! The government must act swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice, no sacred cows in this brutal act. This cowardly act way way crosses the line, with the massacre of women, journalist, lawyers and innocent civilians, this is the beginning of the end. The downfall of Ampatuan’s begins here. I hope people in Maguindanao and the entire ARMM will always remember this gruesome act and take action, unseat those abusive clan lording in your provinces.
yah, i agree. im a catholic too. and alam ko kung ano yung tinatawag nilang tunay na muslim, malaki takot nila sa Dyos. kawawa naman yung mga inosenteng muslim na gusto ng peace life, na wlang ginagawang masama. nadadamay sila.sana matigil na mga ito. nakakatakot kc. diko na alam saan pa ang safe place dito sa mundo.
